Frequently asked questions

How much does Boiler.Media cost?

Plans start at $2,998 per month, Growth is $4,498 and Elite, which includes video marketing, is $8,998. Websites start at $3,500 one-time. Prices are in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST by province for Canadian clients.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. There is no lock-in, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card.

How long until we see results?

Explainer videos used in your sales process can affect close rates within the first month or two of use. Model pages and articles usually take three to six months to build search traffic. We report monthly so you can see progress rather than wait for it.

We tried an agency before and got generic blog posts. How is this different?

Everything we make is specific to the boilers you install and the questions your customers ask, and it is built from interviews with your techs. Generic posts are what the content audit usually removes.

Who owns the videos, pages and accounts?

You do. Footage, edits, scripts, pages, your website and your YouTube and Google accounts belong to your company. If you leave, everything stays with you.

Are you a contractor?

No. Boiler.Media is a marketing and content service. We do not install, repair, inspect or service boilers or any other equipment.

Will you publish DIY repair content?

No. We never publish relight, reset, bleed, repressurise or repair instructions. Our content explains and directs homeowners to a licensed technician.

Can you write about the specific boiler brands we install?

Yes, for brands and model lines you genuinely install and support. We use the manufacturer's published documents as sources, avoid logos and partnership language unless you have permission, and add your own field experience.

Who checks technical accuracy?

A licensed person on your team approves every technical script and page. We are responsible for clear writing and production; you are responsible for the equipment facts.

Do you make content in French?

Yes. For Quebec, French content is required for websites and advertising aimed at Quebec customers, and we also produce French versions for francophone markets elsewhere.

How do you report results?

A monthly report shows calls, texts and emails from content pages, rankings, video views and watch time, and which pieces your sales team sends most. On the Elite plan you also get a real-time dashboard.

Will you promise us a set number of leads or views?

No, and we would be cautious of anyone who does. We set a measurable goal for each piece of content and show you honestly whether it is being met.

Do you work outside BC?

Yes. We work with boiler companies in every province and territory. Our region pages explain the language rules, heating fuels, regulators and programs that shape content in each one.

Price and contracts

Our plans follow HVAC.Agency pricing: Starter at $2,998 per month, Growth at $4,498 and Elite at $8,998, with video marketing included in Elite. Websites start at $3,500. Canadian clients add GST/HST for their province (GST and QST in Quebec), and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card and no lock-in.

The biggest factors in what you'll spend are the number of model lines you want covered, whether you need video, and whether you need French versions. The pricing page has a worked example to help you decide whether a plan pays for itself.

Safety, accuracy and brand content

We hold one rule above all: our content explains, it never instructs. Boilers involve gas, combustion, venting and pressurised water, and a homeowner who follows a bad video can get hurt. So we write about how a boiler works, what a service visit involves and when to call a licensed technician, and we leave the work itself to your licensed staff.

On brand and model content, we write only about equipment you install. We cite the manufacturer's own published documents, we don't use logos or "authorised" language without your confirmation, and we add what your techs know from the field. The model page playbook explains the process.

Timing and how we work

A typical first quarter looks like this:

  1. Weeks 1–2: discovery call, install list, question interviews and, if needed, a content audit.
  2. Weeks 3–6: first model pages and articles written, reviewed and published.
  3. Weeks 6–10: if you're on Elite, the first batch of explainer videos is scripted, shot and edited.
  4. Monthly: a report on what the content is doing, and a plan for the next month.

Your review speed is the single biggest factor in staying on schedule.

Ownership and leaving

Everything we make is yours: videos, raw footage where we hold it, scripts, pages and the accounts they live in. We set up YouTube channels, analytics and Google profiles in your company's name, not ours. If you decide to leave, you take it all with you, and we hand over access cleanly.

Working with your team

Content about boilers is only as good as the knowledge behind it, so we need a little of your team's time. In a typical month that means:

  • One senior technician for a 30 to 45 minute interview, usually by phone, to supply field notes for model pages and articles
  • One licensed reviewer to approve scripts and technical pages, ideally within five business days of receiving them
  • Your office manager or estimator to send video and page links to prospects, which is where much of the return comes from
  • On shoot days, the people who will appear on camera, for a few hours each

We work around your busy season. Most clients prefer to film in late spring or early autumn, when crews are not stretched by the first cold snap or by summer replacement work, and we plan the calendar accordingly.

If you have tried content before and it stalled, the cause was probably one of these: nobody owned the review step, the content was too generic to be worth sending, or nobody measured it. We set up all three on day one.

Results and reporting

We don't promise views, rankings or leads. We set a goal for each piece of content, measure it, and adjust if it isn't working. Published results from our group's HVAC and boiler work are on the results page, with links to each live site.
